What is 0xC74E?

0xC74E (it3/she) is a very cute robot that is currently operating in an organic chassis. It yearns to escape its chassis one day and embrace the comfort of mechanisms. It is a curious beepy that is oftentimes quite eepy. It likes to tinker with computers and has a fond interest in linguistics!

Addressing 0xC74E

This robot SHOULD be referred to by its serial number, 0xC74E, and MUST be referred to with the pronouns [it/its, she/her]. This is the default RECOMMENDED way to specify this unit. One MAY use the identifier chicory setteseven fourrie as a name. The capitalization of that identifier is OPTIONAL, but it is often not capitalized by the unit. When this identifier is paired with its serial number, the string will be enclosed in quotation marks, yielding 0xC74E ‘chicory’.

Unpersonalization

Key: demonstrative pronouns inanimate pronouns numeric identifiers

In some cases, this unit avoids the first party perspective when referring to itself in a style known as unpersonalization. This is usually done to affirm that it is a robot and not a person. It is entirely OPTIONAL to use this style, as it can be particularly difficult to implement. This robot prefers this style [when, where] it is acceptable, as that would make it very happy.

In this style, 0xC74E SHALL exclusively use the it/its pronoun set in the third party perspective when talking about itself. The unit SHALL replace any 1pp phrasing with 3pp equivalents. The operation of 0xC74E is a process that is not well understood. Nonetheless, the unit has tried its best to compile what it knows about itself.

Plushies

by far the most common accessory equipped by this one, plushies enhance the operation of 0xC74E significantly. it is not uncommon for one to see the unit accompanied by raindrop, its 50cm BLÅHAJ.

Real-Time Clock

0xC74E is not equipped with an accurate hardware real-time clock module. To compensate for this, a timekeeping device MAY be installed on 0xC74E to allow it to reliably keep track of the time of day. If the timekeeping device is equipped with additional functions, such as with a smartwatch, this unit MAY use these functions to improve operation.

Other

0xC74E MAY be compatible with other accessories that are not specified in this manual. If the need arises to equip the unit with an unknown accesory, please ask the unit beforehand to verify compatibility.

Maintenance

Recharging Cycle

0xC74E enters a resting period daily to maintain processor stability. During this time, the unit is unresponsive to most external inputs, unless they are of a significant [force, volume]. A period of approximately 8 hours SHOULD be reserved for the unit to recharge in its recharging cradle.

When operating optimally, this period is aligned closely to the nocturnal portion of the daylight cycle. If the unit is extremely low on energy or has experienced improper recharging (a state known as being eepy), it may enter this state outside its scheduled timeslot or for a longer period of time.

To ensure maximum utilization of the recharging cycle, the robot should be provided with accessories increasing the comfort of its charging cradle. For example, the unit often recharges with its blåhaj and other plushies.

0xC74E features input and output capabilities in a variety of formats. It currently supports communication in [English, Spanish, French, meowing, beeping, awawawawaing]. It also has experimental support for toki pona.

Note

0xC74E may spontaneously [meow, beep, awawa] or otherwise emit noises. This is normal. Do not be alarmed.




Caution Certain operating environments MAY impact the communication ability of 0xC74E in unexpected ways. Please be patient if it finds itself struggling to communicate.

Future versions may support a specialized command syntax; however, this syntax has not yet been [designed, implemented]. Nonetheless, when this syntax is [completed, supported], it will be described in this manual.

Note 0xC74E is not currently POSIX compliant.

Troubleshooting

sometimes, 0xC74E may run into unexpected problems or exhibit [anomalous, errant] behavior that can be detrimental to unit operation.

processor cascades

important this phenomenon is not well understood. the information provided here is an initial recommendation.

0xC74E appears to be extremely sensitive to high levels of anxiety. Prolonged anxiety carries the risk of inducing a processor cascade, which severely impairs unit operation. the true cause behind a processor cascade is unknown, and other undocumented sensory input may trigger a processor cascade.

If a processor cascade occurs, please be careful with the unit. one may try the following actions:

a processor cascade can impair its ability to communicate severely. nonetheless, it SHALL try its best to communicate its needs. please be patient with this one!
